EPGP loot system
Overview
EPGP is a relational DKP system. Whereas traditional DKP systems utilize a single pool of points (earned - spent = current), EPGP utilizes two pools: Effort Points (EP) and Gear Points (GP). EP quantifies the effort each member put towards the common guild goals and are earned like points in any DKP system, being on-time for raids, killing bosses, etc. GP quantifies what each member received for their effort and are accumulated simply by receiving loot; each item has a GP value calculated from its item level, rarity and equipped slot. The quotient of EP/GP is one's Priority Rank (PR); (EP/GP=PR). A member's PR, and chance to receive loot, is thus directly proportional to the effort put in and inversely proportional to the loot received. Whether a member has a GP value of 2 or 2,000 is irrelevant, it is a member's PR value in relation to that of everyone else which is important. Ranking members descending by PR produces a quasi round-robin list; those at the top of the list receive loot before those at the bottom.
The EPGP system is managed in-game through the EPGP addon.
Details
Everyone begins with 0 EP and 0 GP.
A minimum of 1,000 EP is needed to compete for epic loot and 10,000 EP to compete for legendary loot. Members with less than the minimum are eligible and encouraged to bid on loot, but will not win over anyone with more than the minimum, regardless PR.
Alts and mains share the same EP and GP pools. Should a member change their main character, all accrued GP will be transferred to the new main, and EP will be adjusted according to the Raid Committee's satisfaction.
EP values
* On-time bonus: 25 EP
* Sit-out bonus: 100 EP
* New boss attempt (never killed by guild): 150 EP per attempt
* New boss kill: 1000 EP
* Non-farm boss attempt (killed 2 to 5 times by guild): 50 EP per attempt
* Non-farm boss kill: 500 EP
* Farm boss kill (killed more than 5 times by guild): 250 EP
GP values
All limited-drop tokens and quest items are equal to the GP value of the equippable item they produce or purchase.
Patterns
* Bind-on-Equip tradeskill patterns are equal to the GP value of the item they produce.
* Bind-on-Pickup tradeskill patterns have no GP value. They will be awarded via random.
Reagents
All limited-drop reagents will be deposited into, and distributed from, the guild Bank and are equal, in sum, to the GP value of the item they produce. Unless there is a surplus, these reagents are only available for main characters for PvE purposes. Sunmotes used as currency have no GP value. Crafters who incurred GP for a pattern will not be charged GP for the requisite reagents.
Gems
All epic gems will be deposited into, and distributed from, the guild vault for 3 [Primal Life] each. These gems are only available for T5-quality PvE equipment and are limited to no more than three gems per person, per week.
Vanity Items
Vanity items, such as rare-drop mounts will be decided by random with no GP cost, mounts are officer only items unless an officer passes it on to the group.
Bidding
When an item drops, the Master Looter will link the item and ask those interested to send tells with any conditions (e.g. "I need that item but I pass if Salos bids").
Loot is awarded to the person with the highest PR. If the bidders' PR amount is equal, the bidders random. If the Master Looter receives no tells within one minute, the item is disenchanted.
Exception
If a tier token would otherwise be disenchanted, it will be made available for open roll only to those who have already received that particular token.
